Samantha Basile a/k/a Samantha Alice Basile a/k/a Samantha Whatley a/k/a Samantha Alice Whatley~Basile, (born Samantha Alice Martin, 12 March 1970) residing in Houston, Texas is a leader in the petroleum industry as a CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager – Institute of Supply Chain Management) managing some of the largest Supply Chain Departments in the industry.
Her career started in 1989 with the United States Marine Corps as a civil service employee attached to units in the far-east. In 1992 she returned to the United States to work with the United States Air Force. in Montgomery, Alabama until 1994 then returned to Houston, Texas to begin her career in the oil and gas industry.
In 1999 Basile was named in Business 2000 magazine in the “Top 100 Women in Business to Watch in 2000”. Listed 35th overall. [citation needed] She went on to develop the industry standards of benchmarking SCM functionality and lead the largest savings efforts in the offshore industry. [citation needed] She is recognized as a “commercially astute leader, and a fierce negotiator”.[citation needed]
Samantha Basile currently resides in Houston married to Dr. Jason L. Basile working as an SCM consultant to various EPC companies in the Houston and surrounding areas.
